This new Turkish Oushak rug features an expansive, airy layout with a gentle scattering of motifs. The main field shows large stylized floral sprays, delicate vines, and small medallions in soft coral and lavender tones that drift across the sage green background, creating a peaceful and balanced composition. The wide borders include repeating floral chains and subtle geometric patterns that provide a calm, harmonious frame.
Oushak rugs originated in Turkey during the Ottoman era and are known for their large-scale designs and light, elegant color ways. Modern Turkish weavers continue this tradition with fine wool and contemporary palettes, producing rugs with medium pile and a slightly distressed finish. This example captures the classic open feel with a fresh, nature-inspired green tone.
The wool pile offers good durability for living rooms, family spaces, or dining areas with moderate traffic. Its soft green base and gentle accents pair well with natural wood, light furniture, or earthy tones in traditional and transitional rooms. The size accommodates standard seating arrangements comfortably, and the open pattern allows furniture to sit naturally across the design.
