This new handmade Turkish Anatolian runner features a repeating pattern of large octagonal medallions with intricate geometric and floral centers on a soft neutral beige field. Each medallion is filled with hooked tribal motifs and small stars, framed by narrow borders with repeating geometric elements. The antique washing process softens the wool and colors, creating a gentle, lived-in appearance with subtle variations that give it an authentic vintage feel while maintaining excellent new condition.
Anatolian runners from central and eastern Turkey were traditionally woven by village artisans using natural wool and simple geometric designs suited to hallways. This contemporary piece recreates the classic tribal style with a soft neutral palette and washing to achieve a relaxed, timeworn elegance that fits modern spaces without sacrificing historical character.
The hand-knotted wool construction provides firm durability and a comfortable texture for hallways, corridors, or entryways with regular foot traffic. Its narrow proportions and soft neutral tones create a calm, elegant pathway that complements wooden floors, neutral walls, or rustic/traditional decor. Gentle vacuuming and occasional professional cleaning will preserve the washed finish and distinct tribal patterns for continued enjoyment.
